My dog Mocha is so sweet and simply the best. I got her a little over five years ago and from the day I brought her home my life changed for the better. She is my little side kick and best friend. The first day I got her I went to the pet store to buy food and some toys. This is when I saw the clothes section! I was surprised at how many cute t-shirts, dresses and sweaters they had for dogs! Since I love fashion so much I decided then and there that Mocha would also love fashion. I promised myself I would not go all Paris Hilton on her and that this would be the only sweater I would get her. Do you think I stopped at that one sweater?
Soon her wardrobe grew and grew. I couldn’t help myself. Sweaters were too hot in the summer so I had to get her T-shirts and then crop tops for hotter days. Then of course came the winter coat and then dresses for special occasions and holidays like birthdays and Easter. I always make sure she is comfortable, nothing is too tight and I even cut the tags off so she isn’t itchy. Mocha LOVES her clothes, I know this. I also know that some people think I am crazy or silly for dressing her. That is okay though, I don’t let that bother me. Mocha knows she looks cute and prances down the street and loves all the attention. Grown men will walk by and smile at her, even when she is wearing a tutu! Kids want to pet her and some families even want to take pictures with her.
Mocha and my niece Peyton are the same age and have grown up together. Peyton drew a picture of Mocha and myself one day at school and of course Mocha had a dress on. Her teacher must have wondered why Mocha was in a dress. I thought it was adorable. Actually Mocha is probably wondering why other dogs are walking around naked.
I make sure she stays warm all winter because who enjoys being cold??
In the summer I do take into consideration that she is hot and might not want to wear clothes. So how appropriate for her to wear this adorable little hat? I have been on a huge Adidas kick lately, so of course I wanted Mocha in on the action. There is that odd time you will see her without any clothes on. Doesn’t happen often but sometimes she likes to live on the wild side.
So this is Mocha and all her different looks. She is one lucky dog and I am one lucky woman to have such a loving and sweet dog. One day I would love to own a dog clothing store, after all it is a multi billion dollar industry! So I am definitely not the only crazy or silly one out here. lol
